This is the story I created with Alice. The animation could be a little better, but I think it looks pretty good. Using the Jing program to upload this video, made it come out really choppy, so I hope it isn’t too choppy to watch. Enjoy if you can.

Valentino Personal Narrative
I did not know much about Germany when I was told we were moving there. I had a limited education at the time because I was only in fourth grade, but I knew Germany and Nazi’s had something to do with each other, and even then I knew Nazi’s were no goodtime. So therefore Germany did not seem to appealing to me, and nor was I very excited about moving there. At the time I lived on Quantico, in Virginia because my parents were stationed there. Both of my parents were in the Marine Corp, and we moved a lot, but we had been living in Virginia for about two years,so I was very adapted to life there. I was generally happy most the time as most fourth graders are, so I could see no reason to go rocking the boat, and moving to Germany. It didn’t matter what I thought though and the next thing I knew we were packing up our belongings, and moving out of our house. When I got on the plane to go to Germany, I remember thinking “Damn, there goes everything normal and here comes a bunch of Nazi’s and dudes wearing wooden shoes”. It was a fourteen hour plane ride to get there, and my Game-Gear ran out of batteries pretty quick, so it was a pretty grueling ride, and not a good start to my life in Germany.
When we got off the plane my family was in such a rush to get home, that I didn’t get a chance to notice a lot and really take in my surroundings. This was partly because everybody that we delt with between the plane and our hotel spoke english, including our cab driver. So we went back and crashed at the hotel on the American base; Patch Barracks, in Stuttgart, Germany. Then next month or so of my life was pretty much just hanging out on the base, which was like every other base I had lived on. It wasn’t until my family got settled in our house, did I ever venture off the base alone, and until that point I had just been miserable with my life in Germany.
When I finally went off the base and explored the city I had a good time.I went out on my bike and just cruised around looking at stuff, and going places that looked interesting. Over time I began going out more and more with out my family to check out Germany, and I started to find things that I liked. I found that the German people seemed to be friendly enough, and a lot of them spoke english, which made getting around off base easier. Also I realized the architecture in the city, and how modern and interesting some of the buildings were. The whole city and area had a completly different vibe than and any American city I had ever been to. This fact one would assume would be obvious, but the different vibe was something that I had never experienced before. I wound up adjusting quite nicely to Germany and enjoyed my time there. The food was great, the history was interesting, and there was not as many people wearing wooden shoes as I expected, but there were some. As I now sit once again back in Virginia, and after six years of being back in America, I feel a sense of nastalgia. Even though I love living back in America, if I had the chance I would return to Germany, just because of how great a time I had the first time.
Dr. Mr President
Today I was driving down the road when I hit a deer and he went flying. I got out and realized it wasn’t a deer but instead it was a half man half deer, man-deer. I told the man-deer “sorry”, he said “no problem”, then he got in my car. We then drove to a fiesta. We danced the rest of the day away. After the fiesta we went to a train station, and I got to ride a train. While on the train I met the Train Conductor and he gave me beer. We all then got drunk and crashed the train. After the train crash we went to an amusement park. The three of us road roller coasters and got sick, and puked on everybody. After the roller coasters we all went home. Train Conductors and man-deers are fun to hang out with. Wish you were here. Peace
